Current research indicates that best practice in early childhood intervention centres on a family centred and inclusive approach with relationships playing a central role in children’s social and emotional development and mental health.

Thrive Families recognises that optimal child functioning occurs within a supportive family and community.
Thrive Families vision is to capacity build and assist parents in supporting their child’s development, including functional independence, by increasing their parental self-efficacy leading to:
· increased quality of parent-child interactions
· increased parental warmth and responsiveness
· use of appropriate coping and behavioural strategies
· increased confidence in accessing and participating in appropriate community or virtual supports.
We will do this by:
· using a family partnerships approach in recognising that mums and dads are the experts in their child’s life
· having a flexible delivery approach to work with mums, dads and other significant family members face to face or virtually at a time and location that suits them
· using evidence-based programs such as Circle of Security, Bringing Up Great Kids and Tuning into Kids as a foundation, to create an individualised strengths-based program that focuses on relational health and well-being
· collaborating with the family to adapt sessions according to their identified needs and feedback
· where appropriate, using our wide network of service knowledge to link families to suitable resources and supports

Thrive Families focus is to provide services to NDIS families in the Perth metropolitan area and regional and remote areas in WA. Regional and remote services may be a combination of face to face and telehealth provision.
